Full papers — up to 16 pages (single column), excluding references; anonymized for review.

Short papers — up to 8 pages (single column), excluding references; anonymized for review.

All page limits exclude references. Reviews are double-blind: please remove author names, affiliations, and identifying information from the PDF and any supplementary files.

Review format: Single-column manuscript for review using the ACM Primary Article Template (Word or LaTeX). Submissions must be anonymized.

Production: Upon conditional acceptance, authors will follow the ACM TAPS workflow to produce the publication-ready PDF and HTML5.

Augmented Humans 2027 is sponsored by ACM SIGCHI, and all accepted papers will be published Open Access in the ACM Digital Library under ACM Open. Since January 1, 2026, ACM has fully transitioned to Open Access, so all ACM publications, including conference proceedings, are free to read.

Whether an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies depends on the corresponding author's institution:

• ACM Open institutions: no APC. Check the list of participating institutions.

• Other institutions: an APC applies. For 2027, the APC is $500 for ACM/SIG members and $750 for non-members.

• Sri Lanka: corresponding authors based in Sri Lanka receive a 50% discount on the APC.

ACM decides whether an APC is due from the corresponding author's institutional email address in the ACM eRights form. Financial and discretionary waivers are rare and follow criteria set by ACM; these and other discounts are set out in the APC Waivers and Discounts Policy.

ACM sends all e-rights and TAPS correspondence to the Corresponding Author only — no one else on the paper is copied. Two things follow from this:

• If any author's institution is in ACM Open, list that person as the Corresponding Author in PCS, with their institutional email address.

• Make sure the Corresponding Author will be reachable and able to act during the camera-ready period.

Completing the e-rights form and the TAPS submission by the camera-ready deadline, February 5th, 2027 (AoE), is mandatory. A paper whose e-rights and TAPS steps are not completed in time cannot be published in the proceedings.

Registration: At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present in person (exceptions may be considered in emergencies, e.g., visa issues, by the general chairs at [email protected]).
